Welcome to Tootsies Nursery Farnham, Surrey

Tootsies has been decorated and furnished to a high standard both externally and internally. All rooms benefit from professionally fitted air conditioning.

At Tootsies your child will be provided with the best quality childcare. The Farnham nursery was Ofsted inspected in November 2024 and the Bordon nursery in June 2024, both nurseries received the outcome of Good.

Our Rooms

Little Tootsies and Little Footprints rooms have specifically designed enclosed secure areas laid to a soft play surface. Incorporating age recommended play equipment, sand and water, play unit, slides, playhouse, rockers, walkers and ride on trucks. Our toddlers take part in key chat times, this is a great opportunity for them to spend some quality time with their keyperson and have time to chat together and really get to know one another. In the pre-school’s we work with the children and families to support the children being ‘school ready’, they begin to use the Letters and Sounds system and their learning is planned using the children’s interests.

Little Tootsies and Little Footprints

Throughout the day the children enjoy a range of activities supporting individual schemas and activities such as messy play with gloop, painting, dancing, musical instruments and cuddle time in the cosy areas. Little Tootsies and Little Footprints rooms have specifically designed enclosed secure areas laid to a soft play surface. Incorporating age recommended play equipment, sand and water, walkers and ride on trucks.

Stompers and Cruisers

The team support childrens growing confidence and independence, for example the children begin to learn how use a cup without a lid and begin to use a plate and cutlery and for some beginning potty training. The daily routine is set and the children begin to understand what is going to happen next in the day, helping them to feel settled and happy. Throughout the day the children’s schemas continue to be supported through the environment and activities.

Tiptoes and Leapers

In these rooms the staff work towards helping to prepare the children for Pre School. They do this by having a more structured routine and supporting their growing independence. The children are encouraged to sit for longer amounts of time to begin to get more involved in activities which throughout the day may include learning to use scissors, colour sorting, imaginative play in the role play area, sand and water and a range of toys.

Pre-School Wellingtons and Waders

In the pre-school’s we work with the children and families to support the children being ‘school ready’, they begin to use the Letters and Sounds system and their learning is planned using the children’s interests. Children benefit from access to two rooms and an outside classroom, each area is set out with inviting and exciting activities. The environment offers many different areas including but not exclusively role play, a cosy quiet book area, messy and creative stations, woodwork and construction.

Outdoor Facilities

Our outdoor facilities have been designed to allow children of all ages to access our extensive outdoor area. All of the equipment including slides, bikes and climbing frames all has been chosen to encourage children to play, develop their minds and learn about their physical abilities.

The court yard garden offers much needed shade, with areas for free flow from rooms and outdoor learning in safe outdoor classrooms. There is water play and sand exploration as well as construction zone for large building activities using a wide range of resources. The natural area offers children to cook up a tasty meal in the mud kitchen and build dens amongst the trees and dig for treasure in the sand.
