Meet the Management Team

jo-scraseMy name is Jo Maginnes, I am the curriculum manager for Tootsies Nursery. I joined Tootsies as Curriculum Coordinator in 2008 after working for other early years settings for some time whilst gaining my Early Years Professional Status (EYP), and was promoted to manager in 2010. Previous to this I came from a PR background; I have always enjoyed meeting new people and like nothing more than to greet prospective parents and their little ones!

I always strive to maintain a warm, friendly environment where nursery feels like a home-from-home to all our children and parents. I feel strongly that children should be able to access our large outdoor area throughout the day and encourage staff to take learning outside; I am also very proud that I have introduced outings into the local community for our older children. As a part of my role as an EYP, I support all staff in their development. I am particularly passionate in sharing my training in ‘consulting with children’ and use this to support children with specific needs whether this be behavioural, emotional or educational.

In my spare time; I enjoy going to the gym and cycling; in 2013 I took part in the Farnham Charity Bike Ride as a part of the Tootsies Team raising funds for local projects and charities.

Jo-FisherMy name is Jo Fisher; I joined Tootsies in June 2012 and am the manager for Tootsies in Bordon.

In my role as a manager I have always enjoyed meeting new parents and their children and building relationships and partnerships with them. I feel that together with the Weydon team we have created a friendly vibrant nursery environment, welcoming to all who visit us.

I am trained as a Child Protection Liaison Officer and a Special Education Needs Coordinator with Surrey and hold a full Paediatric First Aid qualification.

I am married with 2 children, one of which has just left Tootsies to start at big school, and my oldest is 13 years old. In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending quality time with my family.

I am trained as a Child Protection Liaison Officer and a Special Education Needs Coordinator with Surrey and hold a full Paediatric First Aid qualification. I enjoy my role in supporting the management team and their nurseries in achieving the best possible outcomes for all the children attending, and implementing best practices. I am always very proud when I see children leaving to go off to school prepared and ready for their new adventure.

I am married with 2 little boys, one who currently attends Tootsies and the other who is now 9 years old and attends school locally.
