Government Funded Free Entitlement Sessions

free-early-educationFree Early Education for 2 year olds (FEET) is a government initiative that funds 15 hours of early education for 2 year old children who would benefit most from early access to childcare. Children who are eligible to claim for FEET funding are able to claim the first term following their second birthday.

If your family is successful in getting FEET, your child will be able to get a free early education place from the start of the school term after their second birthday. You are entitled to a maximum of 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year and may take your hours flexibly throughout the year, but with the prior agreement of the nursery.

Tootsies is registered to take children for the 2 year old funding, parents must apply for the funding directly and be awarded the hours prior to taking up a place with Tootsies.

FEET is linked to where the child lives, therefore if they are not a Surrey resident they will not get FEET funding from Surrey County Council.

free-early-education-3-4Free Early Education for 3 and 4 year olds enables all parents to access up to 15 hours of funded early education a week for their child. Your child is eligible to receive free nursery care the first term after they turn 3. The number of hours of free entitlement is a maximum of 15 hours a week for 38 weeks a year, Funded places for 3 and 4 year olds are only available during school term time. If your child attends with us during any school holiday (including half term) you must pay the set nursery fees.

Free Early Education for 3 and 4 year olds is not linked to where the child lives.

Tootsies implement the free entitlement in various ways, including free entitlement only sessions. Please contact the nursery for more information about availability and hours.
